Mindfulness Yoga

To all of the people who came and did the classes and the workshop in Warrnambool, thankyou for your participation.

I very much enjoyed my time teaching and getting to know you.

I look forward to coming back later this year and continuing to share this wonderful practice.

Yoga is Awareness.

When we are free from the dualistic subject/object separation from

experience, the tradition says we are realising yoga, we are in union.

Union is the state where consciousness is simply moment to moment

awareness, as Body, Mind and Senses not identified with a separate sense

of a self. Our practice is to live from this state of wholeness.

Join me in an exploration of the basics of Moving, Breathing and Feeling.

Together we can support each other to be free of our past conditioning,

to let go of some of the ways we hold on to old patterns of doing and being.

We will do simple things, like slowing down, taking more time to feel, doing

less striving and struggling in the postures. We will take time to rest and

reflect so you have the space you need to come into a more deeply

connected, emotional relationship with yourself.

Sometimes I will set up a dialogue where you may verbally share your

experiences as a way of integrating your personal insights with others.

This often brings more awareness of how your actions affect you and the

other people in your life.

I believe it is possible to change and grow consciously in an environment

that respects the person that you are in this moment. In my experience

insight arises through the intention to allow a willingness to be open and

receptive to whatever it is that is currently arising in your awareness.

How I practice and teach is fundamentally about self-acceptance and

creating ease and well-being. If we can stay grounded with both a

commitment and a detachment to what is happening, there is the possibility

of freedom or liberation from being lost in the delusion of identification and

reactivity. The tradition calls this witness consciousness, this is the True

Self that can be with things just as they are.
